Senior DataOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build a clustered on-premise ClickHouse setup for our own cloud infrastructure
• Deploy, scale, and maintain ClickHouse clusters in production
• Develop and evolve database-related infrastructure across the Data platform
• Automate infrastructure processes and build internal tooling
• Develop and integrate role-based access models across ClickHouse, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and other databases
• Establish naming conventions and user role models for database environments
• Work with MPP and distributed query technologies, including Trino, Greenplum, Vertica, StarRocks, and others
• Improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of Data infrastructure
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across infrastructure, operating systems, networking, and storage

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or DataOps
• Deep hands-on expertise with ClickHouse in production environments
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, networking, storage, and performance
• Experience with production troubleshooting and low-level Linux / *nix performance tuning
• Experience building automation and internal tooling, preferably with Python and/or Go
• Deep understanding of core Cybersecurity / AppSec concepts, technologies, and tools
• Hands-on experience with Karpenter
• Experience with AWS cost optimization using Kubecost, Infracost, AWS tagging, or similar approaches
• Experience with ingress, load balancing, and traffic termination using Traefik, Istio, Nginx, and SSL/TLS
• Experience with identity management solutions such as Authentik, Keycloak, Okta, or similar tools
• Experience with VPN solutions such as Pritunl, OpenVPN, WireGuard, Fortinet, or similar technologies
• Deep understanding of at least one analytical database, MPP system, or distributed query engine such as ClickHouse, StarRocks, Trino, Greenplum, Doris, DuckDB, or Vertica
