Senior Streaming Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve a shared streaming data processing framework using Apache Flink / Spark Structured Streaming
• Design streaming solutions for a high-load Data platform
• Define standards, engineering approaches, and best practices for stream processing across the company
• Build stateful and stateless streaming applications
• Evaluate, select, and implement new tools and technologies for data processing
• Work with large-scale data and high-load infrastructure
• Influence the technology stack and engineering practices of the Data & AI Platform

Requirements

• Strong Java and/or Scala programming skills
• Hands-on experience building streaming applications with Apache Flink and/or Spark Structured Streaming
• Strong understanding of stream processing principles
• Understanding of stateful and stateless processing and their practical applications
• Good SQL skills and a solid understanding of core data concepts
• Understanding of distributed data processing systems and their architecture
• Ability to make technical decisions independently and navigate complex engineering challenges
